April Reads and Book Dump

April had been a little cruel to me. Thank gods that early on, I have decided of the Young Adult Fiction month for the said month. It had been a good motivation to go through an otherwise dragging month.

Look at all those happy spines! Not included on the photo was Anderson’s Speak as I lent my copy to a friend, but nevertheless, this has been a fruitful and productive reading month for me! I read 11 books, excluding Dave Egger’s The Wild Things, which I have reluctant abandoned reading. Details later.

April was a happy reading month! I have found the treasure that was Looking for Alaska and Stargirl, rekindled my relationship with the Greek gods, and I have went on a book spree!

Nick Hornby’s A Long Way Down, Joyce Carol Oates’s High Lonesome, Michael Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Rick Riordan’s The Lost Hero, Dave Egger’s The Wild Things, Marc Spitz’s How Soon is Never?, John Green’s Looking for Alaska (!!!), Paul Auster’s Travels in the Scriptorium, Ian McEwan’s Atonement, Jerry Spinelli’s Stargirl, George RR Martin’s Game of Thrones, Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident in Dog’s Nighttime (From Sasha)

Blame panic-buying of YA Fiction books and book store sales for the dump that was above and below.

David Levithan’s Are We There Yet?, Jeffrey Eugenides’s The Virgin Suicides (!!!),  John Green’s An Abundance of Katherines, Jerry Spinelli’s Love, Stargirl, Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451

There, now, let me go back to reading Game of Thrones. Hello, May! You better be good.

National Bookstore is on sale, 20% off on all imported books until May 5. Hello, unpaid plug, haha. Best if you’ll go to NBS Cubao, which is a building full of books. 😀 Hmm, on BookSale naman, there are a lot of good stuff in SM Manila. 🙂 I haven’t read Virgin Suicides and I have Middlesex too! 🙂
